I recently won a Custom Works Dominator (thanks Custom Works). Most of the guys were using the Tekin Rs and Tekin Rs Pro. What ESC is comparable to the Tekin esc's? They were all running the 13.5 motor. The Tekins are a little out of my price range at this time. I’d like to race the car but could end up selling it if I don’t find a decently priced/comparable esc to the Tekin Rs.

Quite a few guys like the HobbyWing ESC's for boosted. I don't have any experience with them, but they are an option.

Why not just hold on to the kit until you can put the gear you want in it?

On a side note, I have an original Dominator sitting on a shelf, chain drive and all. I bet it would still get around the track well if there was a dirt oval near me. :nod:

I already race a Custom Works Rocket. Outdoor season is just about over with around here. Not a big deal to me if I keep or sell the Dominator. Although the are pretty bad a$$ looking on track. If I sell it, the $$ will be going into my CW Rocket. Was just curious what other esc's may be close to what the Tekin RS is but cheaper.

There are not many cheaper but you can get a Castle 1/10 Mamba Max Pro. It comes very close but is only $15-20 less. The rest all cost more than the RS like the LRP, Novak Kinetic, Black Diamond, Viper, etc. All are in the same price range as the RS Pro.
