Difference in 2 mamba 25

I have two mamba 25s and there is a slight difference I noticed. On the "servo wires" (the wire that you plug into the receiver), where they are soldered onto the board, one mamba 25 has 3 solader poitns for the 3 wires while the other mamba has something connecting 2 solder points. The picture below shows the mamba with the connection. The far two servo wire joints are connected by that brass colored thing. Just wondering what is does and why there is a difference?

Looks to me like a small surface mount capacitor (normally soldered directly to a printed circiut board) soldered to the + and - receiver wires, probably to help smooth out power to the receiver.

Thanks I guess my older mamba just doesn't have one. The two farthest wires on the right are the switch ones, if I just remove the wires and connect those two with a dab of solder it should be fine right?

Also will adding hot glue from a hot glue gun short or destroy anything? I want to strengthen up the solder joints
