Mamba Monster on 3s ???
 

I've been running my Monster on 4s with good results and good power. I need to set it up for my son and was thinking of getting 3s batteries for him(cheaper), so he cans run his Ve8 and not use my batteries.

Can I run the Mamba Monster on 3s?

Will it be glitchy?

I don't really need it for power he is still learning how to drive, I just want to make sure it will be o.k.

What motor are you using ?

No reason why you cant run a lower voltage on most motors

3S is fine. There are even people who run just 2S on it too.

Running the Castle 2200kv which won't run on 2s.

I know the 2200kv won't run on 2s, this is why I am asking if anyone has had issues with 3s I guess mainly its the motor.

You can run the 2200 on 3s. I run it from time to time in my revo and hyper 7 conversions. Its not all that fast and the power is way down from the 4S i normally run.

I'd trust the MMM on 3s before I trust it on 6s!

when trying to load settings in the MMM castle link, running the 2650. I see no settings for 3 cell. what would the volt cut off be, if it doesn't show up in the castle link or should I just set it for auto ? Thanks
don't want to fry a 3 cell

i run 6s in my e-maxx bl and it runs good so im sure 1 3s would run fine
