Default Novak motor and Tekin esc compatible

Will a Novak 8.5 work with a Tekin RS in a 2wd buggy?

I would add one caveat though if the motor you're gonna use is the Ballistic series, if you intend to use some timing boost on your RS, then be VERY watchful about the motor temps, you may have to gear down lower than you'd ordinarily think. I encountered this when I first tried using that combo, & I nearly burned up my Ballistic. Problem was, I based the gearing I chose on what other guys were using with other motors(like the Trinity Duo2, for example, it can take a tall gearing pretty well), & using similar gearing I almost cooked the Ballistic(& it didn't seem to matter what settings I changed on the RS, still ran hot, like 180F & up). But once I went down a couple of teeth on the pinion, that cooled the motor down a LOT & allowed me to put some good boost & turbo in it without issue, ran great after that. So if you use it, just try to check your motor temps every couple of minutes to make sure it's ok before you subject it to a full race time.....
