Help with interference
Guys, got 3 speedos, 2 hobbywings which I have no problems with, also got an advanced electronics black diamond, which I have major glitching issues with.
I bought the speedo second hand so basically thought I had a dud, sent it back to ae, they installed new firmware, put new capacitor on it, checked it using a 2.4ghz radio and had no issues. Got it back yesterday, still got the same problem. I've tried 2 radios, both ko, one 27mhz with 4 receivers, the other a 40mhz. I've tried pretty much everything possible including unplugging all electronics, moving the speedo and receiver around, but anytime I get a few feet away from the car it starts glitching, sometimes really badly! Ae are slightly confused and are doing their best to resolve the situation, thry are even potentially sending me out a replacement to try. I have just come across a Muchmore receiver noise capacitor, which is supposed to filter noise to the receiver and stop interference. Has anyone on here tried such a thing and more importantly do they work? Help and advice greatly appreciated! Mark |

I put a capacitor on the receiver, it solved the issue. The servos were putting alot of noise into the receivers (I used an oscilloscope to check this) The cap acted as a noise filter Spektrum also sell a Receiver Capacitor . Easy enough to make. I now have better brand servos (Futaba & Kopro), they dont need the cap on they receiver If you have a high torque servo, it may be causing the voltage to drop on the receiver also |
