C charge rating?

What does that mean? i read that a guy was charging a 4s lipo at 3c..?? what does it mean?

'c' short for capacity in reference to charging

5000mah pack

1c charge rate - 5 amps
2c charge rate - 10 amps
3c charge rate - 15 amps
