Who makes ACE servos????
got a ace servo in a bag of parts and it moves but i can tell gears are worn out and maybe bad motor as well.....tried looking up ace and really cant find much info on them at all....thanks for the info
|
They were sold / marketed / distributed by Thunder Tiger (Team Associated) from what I remember...
EDIT : yep - here you go -http://www.tiger.com.tw/product/8126.html |
95% sure that ace is airtronics.... I used to run an airtronics 'xp' servo and now the ace 'xp' servo looks exactly alike.... IMO ace is absolute overpriced poop
|
thunder tiger as far as i know...or AE...which ever you choose lol, same place different name, think TT owns alot more brands than we think. great servos though, I use a 1015 on steering and i know ALOT of people who use them as well:nod: mine is going on 3 years now and still perfect...and i wreck a lot
|
well maybe I'm wrong, who knows.... I had a bad experience with one so good luck
|
i run two of the newer ones in my truggy and have had no issues.
i also ran two in my savage MT for awhile with no issues. but yeah im pretty sure AE does. |
XP 1050 = Team Associated, not sure that AE actually makes servos but I know it's not Airtronics. ACE servo's where basically the same thing. I don't think ACE is around anymore.

Ace is in fact a Thunder Tiger brand that is either no longer around or is just not around in North America. If it is an Ace servo, the parts from the AE ones will not fit. They were changed just enough even though it is the same servo. They had some running changes with them.
They are a very durable and reliable servo. I had mine for 3 seasons of buggy and truggy, then a year in a rock crawler. I finally killed it by submarining it in a trail truck. I would have no problems getting another 1015 at all. BTW, it's a Futaba spline on the Ace/AE servo's. They were never made by Airtronics. |
