Tekin RS ESC
 

I need help with my esc,do you gies think that something bad will happen to my tekin rs esc if i turn it on without a capacitor.Please let me know

it will be fine but get a cap

ok cool,cause i just turned it on never ran it though.but without the cap does the esc need to turn on normal cause when i did no lights didnt turn on the esc,nor it made a noise.

imma try it again after i get the cap,dont really want to mess with it cause its my first sensored motor

i found one capacitor wire had broken off in my B4 at the end of qualifing. how long had it been off a Tekin RS with 17.5 Redline? who knows, but i made the amian. soldered it on with a borrowed soldering iron and job i knew was bodgy. end of the race, off again but the B4 was chargin'. soldered it on properly this time. still ripin' up the track!! Tekin- busted they work better than other brands!!

Turning it on won't hurt it at all. But ideally you should never run the esc without a cap.

Just got my new RS and 10.5 installed in my SC10. Looking for good starting setup. Went on Tekin's site to get setup but there only seems to be one setup for an SCT and 10.5. Not sure if that's the best settings for me or not?

My local track is LSR. Just switched from Castle stuff on SC10 and am very new to the RS esc.

Run that set up from the website and we can adjust from there. were you at LSR yesterday? I was the tall guy announcing the first race. Approach me at the track and I'll be more than happy to personalize the settings to your driving style.

I didn't race but came by after work to watch a few races.
