Castle sct with 1/18th motor

Would there be any issues with this? Im thinking a problem might be the low current draw of the smaller motor would make problems for the sct motor algorithm

It would probebly over heat the motor due to the weight differences in 1/10, 1/18 cars and might not generate enough power to make it worth while.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure i explained myself well...I will use a 1/18th motor in a 1/18th car....the esc will be overkill but im worried the motor wont draw enough current for the esc to accurately control the motor

No reason why it wont be fine

Motor and battery determine your amp draw

How may amps does your motor draw ?

Cheers

I assume you mean the Sidewinder SCT ESC and some motor 380 size or less, in which case it will be just fine, no problems at all.

The only time youll run into trouble is when the motor need more amps than the esc can deliver and not the other way around. I always set mine up with an esc and lipos that can deliver more amps then will ever be needed by the motor, i find this keeps everything in great condition and last longer.
