Crystal Compatibility
 

I've got an old Airtronics radio, basically the analog version of an M8. I have a Rx, but no crystal. Can I use a crystal from another brand radio? We've started a vintage class, and I'd love to use this old radio with my XX buggy.

I've had mixed results mixing brands of crystals - crystals have some tolerance freq wise and diff brands of crystals may not work together cause they are not close enough to the same freq.

Won't hurt anything to try....

Airtronics & Futaba Do Not work together, if I remember right. But some others do work with airtronics.

That's only FM 75Mhz where the phase shift diff comes into play....
