The best "second" radio

I was looking into possibly getting a new radio to replace the RTR one that I am using now once I get a second car. What I was wondering is what you guys thought would be a good radio to go to next. I have looked at the spektrum transmitters mostly and the DX3C has caught my eye. I haven't looked at Airtronics and Futaba yet, but I assume they have something similar. The only things I know I need out of this radio are:

1) multi model memory
2) comes with at least a receiver
3) has some kind of screen for easier adjustments

My budget for this is likely going to be around $150. Thanks for the help!

2 choices come in mind

3pkS or Spektrum DX3R for that budget... Ive got a 3pks , but will try the spektrum next...

Do you mean the 3PM-X and DX2S? The 3PKS is well north of $300, and the DX3R is not much cheaper

Used prices wouldnt be too far off I would imagine.

As for best second... same as the main/first?

If not, then I would suggest something that can take a module, grab one of the FrSky 2.4 module/receivers for $33 and enjoy using $14 receivers.

It's $30 more than you said you want to spend, but it's by far the best radio in that price range. It uses the same technology and has the same response time as the $400 KO Eurus. I see them used for around $100 from time to time too. Much better quality than Spektrum, I went from the DX3R to the KO Eurus and it's night and day difference.

I forgot to mention that this radio comes with 2 recievers. If you don't need 2, you can easily sell one to get you back under that $150 mark.

Used you can get those here. I bought a 3pks a few months ago for $150 used with a 603fs RX...and I saw several DX3R's for around $150-170 here used.

Airtronics MX-3X. $160 gives you most of the features of the $400 M11X. For $160, I don't think any radio out there can beat it in terms of features and quality.
