i have a sweet charger (dynamite passport ultra) and it can charge 12 cells at a time. this being said, can i plug two 6 cell nimh batteries into a series connector and charge them at the mAh rating on tha battery (or lower) with successful results?

so two brand new batteries should be ok, assuming the batteries are in perfect condition and are at the same discharge point, or reasonably close to it.

Thats right. The charger does not recognise cells apart, so if they have different capacities, discharge rates etc, when you charge them, they wil basically charge as well as the worst cell.
If you have an equalizer and they come out close, then go for it, otherwise i'd leave it as it will only degrade the batteries faster.

but i am using two NiMH batteries of the same brand, bought at the same time and never run separately from eachother. if all else fails i still have a pair of prophet II chargers i can use to charge these batteries, i just dont get the same run time. Passport Ultra > Prophet II *x2
