which rx port for battery

Pretty simple question but I don't run nitro so don't know the answer.

A mates rx has no dedicated battery port. Does the battery just plug into any redundant channel?

usualy the aux port should be fine

No aux port. Just numbered ports and 1 labelled id set (which is for binding I think as it only has 2 outside pins, which won't work for the battery).

then any open 3 prong port should work, don't see why not..

That's what I'm hoping. No other option really I guess:weird:

Should I go with batt in port 1 and then servo's after that, or vice versa?

Also, I know the + is always the middle pin but is the - always on the outside of the rx?

racer1812 05-20-2011 11:53 PM

I've never seen the - be anywhere but the outside of the receiver.
throttle and steering should be labeled, or chan. 1 and chan. 2, those do need to be in specific ports.

Sorted, thanks racer;)

For the record, batt could be plugged into any of the empty channels. Neg was to the outside.

Just curious, what brand of receiver is this that has no battery plug?

That's the way most I've encountered are, neg to the outside...

this sound's like your running a spektrum rx the bind port is the battery port

but if its another type more of the time its the bind port where you plug the power in
