Ask away mate, apart from the menu system most chargers share similar features and operation

Cheers

i just got one a few days ago. my first advanced charger i have ever had. it says in the manual that you can cycle the lipos? i havent figured out how to get to that selction. and i am also a little confused on the charge i should be putting into my batteries. like on the main menu where it asks for the amount of current/amps. where it says charge rate on the battery, do i set that rate into the charger? i wish they directions were a little more clear for beginners like myself

No reason to cycle a lipo pack all it does is waste valuable cycles

Most common to charge a lipo at a 1c charge rate (some battery manufacturers will specify higher)

1c is simply the same as the size of the pack

5000mah pack = 5 Amps

Cheers

alright, so since both my packs are 5400 i would charge them at 5.4? can i charge them at 9.00? to reduce charge time

If the lipo is rated for higher C charging, then you can do that, if the lipo is only 1C rated, I'd stick with 5.4amps (1C).

The lipo label should tell you what the manufacturer recommends for charging as far as C rate is concerned. If there's nothing said about charging on the label, it's safe to assume it is 1C rated.

sorry for asking so many questions...what does the 1C represent?

I don't think your charger will let you charge more than 5A.

C is the number of mAh of your battery expressed as milliamps. So if your battery is 5400 mAh then 1C = 5400 mA or 5.4 A. 1C is usually the max rate you would charge your batteries at. So you would not go above 5.4 A when charging or whatever the current limit is on your charger.

Your charger will charge up to 10 amps, but like the guy's have said charge at the battery mfg's reccomendation.

This is their product support thread on HT. I know it's listed on an oval site but they have very good customer support

Hope this helps.

I have this charger and like it alot ... just don't like how hard it is to press the buttons... also contacted TP and asked if they can do a upgrade filmware so there can be a screen that you sellect that stys on all the time that shows each cells voltages.
Suggest all you guy's e-mail and or phone them and ask for this option as most chargers do this and it's somthing i realy miss on this charger.
