Bad servo?

I'm running a new spektrum s6040 with my mmp and I'm getting a lot of chatter even when centered, it gets a lot worse when turning and holding full left/right. I bought a cap to put in my receiver with no luck so I got a cc bec, still no luck. I set the bec to 6.0v which is what is recommended by futaba and spektrum. I've tried 3 diff tx/rx combos so I know that isn't the problem. I even hooked up my vxl 3s and that didn't help either. The only other thing I can think of is I got a dud from spektrum. What do you guys think?

Is it binding at full lock ?

Have you turned down the EPA's (travel) ?

Cheers

I think you got a crappy servo, in more ways than one. ;)

Its not binding just chatter, even centered. I can turn everything on and not even touch my tx and it will chatter. Ntrain... I'm starting to agree with you

One word for ya: Hitec.

Sounds like the deadband is too narrow on the servo almost. Most Hitec servos are programmable for things like deadband, epa etc.
