Bought used XERUN XR10 PRO Stock Spec. Came with a 3 capacitor bank on it. They are 1000uF 16v caps but the color (silver can, black mark and writing) suggested they are not High Frequency caps or any that came from hobbywing. Do I need these? Should I use them? Do they need to be the high frequency style?

Default Justock Oval Motor Limit

I know this is supposed to be support for off-road, but I don't see an oval support forum, so I'll ask here and see what happens.

The 2S motor limit for the HobbyWing Justock is shown as "≥8.5T (1/10 on-road), ≥11.5T (1/10 off-road)"

What would be the motor limit for use on an oval track (loose dirt oval, not carpet) in something like a MudBoss Slash?

I know the Mudboss rules spec a 13.5, but I want to know if I can run a faster motor (8.5, 9.5 or 10.5) for playing around without destroying the ESC.

Your gearing options will be limited... several folks at the club in my area (myself included) were experiencing brown outs at around 5-6 min of run time with the Justock and the 13.5T Punisher on turf... yeah we could've geared down and made it work but would lose out on performance. Most are running the ProStock and I opted for the V3.1 to have the flexibility to run mod without having to swap the ESC. I personally would not go anywhere near a modern short stack 10.5T motor with a 1/10 off-road car... they are significantly heavier than touring cars and will pull far more current than you think.

Interesting info, but I asked about oval not off-road. A loose dirt oval with little traction is nothing like running an off-road car on turf. For instance, there are no tight turns and we only accelerate twice per lap. (about once every 5-6 seconds on my track)

So anyone have input regarding motor limit for Justock on loose dirt oval?

I just want to know whether I need to change the esc to run between an 8.5 and 10.5.

I actually changed the name of my wifi module first so when its broadcasting, my phone can sense it.

Does the XR10 Stock Spec ESC 2S (80amp model) come with the external switch in the box or sold separately?

When they say off-road, they are referring the physical size of the chassis which will carry more weight, larger tires, etc... it has nothing to do with running flat or not... they are saying "1/10 on-road = TC" and "1/10 off-road = Buggy" you have all the information already available, if you go past the limit then you will only set yourself up for disappointment

I would go with the V3.1 if I was gonna run an 8.5T in oval car based on a 1/10 Buggy.

I bought a HW XR8 Plus and the 4274 size 2250kv motor, and it makes illness inducing power on 4S. Well done Hobbywing, this thing goes like its getting shot at.

Does the xerun v2.1 and v3.1 share the same FET's? I suspect my 3.1 has burnt fets as it needs to be pushed to be able to run.

When I have had to push a car to be able to run it has typically been a loose connection that has caused the problem, sometimes I've had to re-solder all my connections and the problem went away, other times I've needed to replace the sensor wire and one time I had a busted sensor board that needed to be replaced.

Besides needing to be pushed, the power went down as well. Symptoms of a burned fet it seems. We already opened the esc up. It smelled of burned electronics. We're going to be testing the fets.

So, I just rewired my V3.1 120a with new motor wires, and i just noticed my brakes are so much weaker than before. All my radio settings are the same??? I will put the programmer on it tomorrow and see if a Profile has changed. Just curious if anyone had brake issues with theirs? Running a Motiv 17.5 on 2S in 2wd buggy.

Default Xerun XR10 Pro V4 - programming box

Hi-
What programming box will work with a Xerun xr10 pro? It looks like it can be programmed with a smartphone. Would I have to get any additional hardware to program by phone?
Thanks
