Honestly, you just cut off whatever length you don't need. You will have to "tin" the end of the wire with new solder. Once you do that you are all set!

So the preprogrammed modes don't necessarily match up to your typical stock/mod settings. Run through each setting and confirm the turbo/boost settings. Red light blinking is definitely "blinky" mode. Solid red indicates boost.

As stated in another post on your issue, you can turn off all timing functions or back on in any mode. I would recomend recalibrating after changing the mode if you have a problem.

Try dropping tge pinion another 2 teeth.
Thanks, thats what I did. I dropped it down to just under 4.4FDR and the motor stopped overheating. Surprised how much RPM this motor has.

Right now what you do guys feel are the best hobbywing escs for:

- 1/10 2wd buggy 17.5 blinky
- 1/10 4wd buggy open (5.5T motor)

would like High voltage BEC, If a version does the same thing but is smaller I am fine with that.

Which one do you mean?

- XR10 Justock (60A)
- XR10 Pro Stock Spec (80A)

There's quite a big difference between them.

I like mine, though I haven't had it long enough to fully appreciate it. It should work great in F1.

Is anyone else having problems with the data logging from the wifi module? It works sometimes then like right now, it says 0 on everything and 12.6v when I'm on a 2s battery.
Xerun v3.1 on firmware V3.2_140627_BETA.

Hi everyone, joining the HW bandwagon.

I've just installed a new XR8 SCT, i have the wifi module but have a question, when trying to update firmware it wants me to disconect motor from ESC... is this needed or can i leave connected?
Really dont want to desolder it just to update.

I absolutely love Hobbywing! Ive had either a motor and esc since 2009, now I think I have about 5-6.. anyway.. I bought a Xerun XR8 SCT, hooked it up to a Trinity Certified Monster 17.5 for a fairly light SCT. the problem im having, (which I've heard from a couple others people) is that at initial throttle, it has no power... almost like its cogging, but smooth. I'm using a good sensor wire, not sure why its doing that. any advice?

you don't need to de-solder, just take off the pinion

I may be wrong here but I think the XR8 SCT likes 4 pole motors. The trinity is a 2 pole motor. That may account for your cogging.

OH! I wasn’t aware of that, I will have to try a 4-pole and see if it changes, thanks for the heads up!
