Thanks. Got it to work. Just used the HW3.42 computer software and updated the programmer until one of the 3 software programs worked. I do believe the ESC is running the "beta" software. I am impressed at how crazy fast the 4000kv 4 pole is. I run it in a durango 4x4 and have to get used to keeping up with the car LOL. it's a rocket.

Thanks but I am running 7.5 short course truck on indoor clay track. Setup sheets appear to be for onroad asphalt tracks.

I just got the 150 amp ESC and installed in my T8E(8th scale buggy) The Motor needs to turn the opposite way(clockwise in stead of counter clockwise) Can I do this without a program card? It is mentioned in the manual, but not how to change it. It's under "advanced items"

The LCD card makes life easier. But I just looked at the instructions, and don't think you have to have it. Just follow the instruction's, and see if it will let you get to that parameter.

I'm switching to hobbywing this year after I fried a brand new Tekin gen 2. I was told that I should get the sct combo to run in my buggy. I assume it's this model http://www.falconsekido.com/products...sct-pro-series

Is that the go to setup that everyone is running in buggy? Does it have more setup options? What makes it better then this model? http://www.falconsekido.com/products...ox-for-1-8-car

Thanks guys.

That will work Nick, but you must get the Pro-D combo if youre running ebuggy. The rest of the combos have too short of a motor that is also too high kv. not 1/8th e friendly. I run the 150amp Xerun Combos (your second link, M6c or M6b).

Really the sct pro is just a smaller lighter esc thats more at home in smaller spaces. Really not much is different for adjust-ability. Other than that its a bit cheaper.

The SCT Pro esc is a little smaller and is widely used in 1/8th scale, but can only be used upto 4s. The 150A is physically larger, but can handle 6s. The programming functions are exactly the same from what I know.

I use the SCT pro both in my 4wd SCT and E-buggy, and have had no issues so far.

I wouldn't say it is the "go to setup that everyone is running", but it is a very popular option, and very economical compared to other choices.

it can be done with the setup button.just follow the directions to get into the setup menu and select the correct option by counting the beeps.it's a little confusing at first but once you get used to it its fine.

IT WORKED! lol Thank you so much, I just had to reread the manual a few times to "get it" Got a little weird with longer beeps representing 5, but I got it.

I run the SCTpro 120amp and a Tekin 1900kv motor with a 4s 30c lipo in my Mugen MBX6Eco. so far so good but only time will tell. just curious, what is a normal temp range for this esc and motor? I have it geared 14/44 running zero timing.
