The G4 is not listed on the site for replacement bearings. Can these be owner replaced?
Yes, I got them through acer

There arenít any 9x4x4 or 8x3x4 bearings through Acer. So I assume the correct size is 4x9x4 and 3x8x4

1900 kv g3 motor lost power and gets really hot, when spinning the shaft it doesn't give me much resistance. Does this mean my rotor is toasted?

That sounds like your rotor is toast. No resistance when spinning the shaft means the magnetism, of the rotor, is really weak.
bratan likes this.

Thank you! Thought about Bocca Orange Seals, but went with Acer Ceramic bearings.

I also picked up a set of titanium screws.

I watched a couple V10 G4 tear downs and it looks like itís not shimmed very much. Specifically, the sensor board has no shims. Is there a way to improve the sensor deviation?

Not sure. We gave up on stock and went mod.

On the G2S with the build in fan cage.....is there a nice way to remove that cage...or even replace the top half of the ESC. I wish I had gotten the elite. This cage is annoying

Hello all,
i am new to elo so sorry for my questions. I bought a MBX8TR Truggy and a hobbywing XR8 G3 Pro ESC with a 4274 2250kv engine. No i read that this Motor is not
allowed to use with this ESC!! Is that correct? Or did the esc need an update?

I read the same thing, so I swapped ESC's around.

Anyone else seeing that the Android Hobbywing Link V2 app is not working? Several complaints in the Play store in last few days about this.

Won't launch on my phone at all right now. Worked fine about a week ago.

Edit: Just attached to my Android debugger and captured this exception:

java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.hobbywing.hwlink2/com.hobbywing.app.MainActivity}: java.lang.SecurityException: com.hobbywing.hwlink2: One of RECEIVER_EXPORTED or RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED should be specified when a receiver isn't being registered exclusively for system broadcasts

Looks like the app isn't using the correct flags when registering the listener.
