XR10 Pro was working in a spare car, have moved it to a new car and had to solder on longer motor wires. The ESC powers up but when I pull the throttle it does not spin the motor. The cables seem to the motor twitch but no drive.
I can use the programmer to access the ESC.
Its is powering the receiver fine as steering is working but I can't get drive.

Can someone advise the best way to diagnose if its the motor or ESC?

So,
On a Tunalyzer, it shows the KV. What exactly does KV stand for? I know kV, with a lower case "k," is kilovolt. Someone was telling me that it means Constant Villosity, but that acronym is CV.

KV in this context means RPM per Volt

I had a situation where the HW OTA would give me the "Hobbywing OTA electrical modulation information verification failed" on my brand new XR8 Pro G3, but I think it was due to the faulty sensor wire I had that came with the ESC since my reverse wouldn't work. I've since replaced it with a Protek replacement sensor wire and it started to work again.

First experiences with the XR8 Pro G3 are poor. It seems to have some sort of 'soft' thermal shutdown which kicks in at around 95 degrees C, in addition to a hard shutdown at 120 or so C (the latter similar to the G2). This manifests itself as a loss of 'turbo' (as HW calls the setting). We've seen this happen with both G3's at our track tonight. Typical ESC temps at our track are usually around 100 degrees C in hot weather, which the G2 takes without issues. The G3... not so much. Strangely, the old G2 ran substantially (as in 30+ degrees C for the ESC) cooler after being swapped back in.

All temperatures as reported by the ESC. All run the latest software. ESCs ran the same settings. 4S, 2800kV GT8.

My stock spec ESC doesn't power or recognize receiver. Is the ESC junk?
Long story short, I hooked up the ESC to a new receiver to bind it. It bounded to the radio, but when I moved the wheels the blue light on the receiver turned off and now when I try to use a different receiver it does not power it at all. Any ideas?

Does it output any power? Use a multimeter to check the BEC output. Do the fans spin? If there's no power and the fans don't spin, it's a toast BEC.

Hi all, this is regarding the XR10 Pro ESCs (V4 and G2S specifically). If the Throttle Curve setting is Linear, what Throttle Rate Control setting would also be linear? It's adjustable 1-30, would linear be 15? Also, does drive frequency come in to play here as well? I know what they all do but if you're just looking for a linear throttle what setting(s) would that be? Thanks!

Throttle rate control and frequency are not related to the throttle curve. A throttle curve is a remapping of input trigger percentage to output PWM duty cycle percentage. Drive frequency affects the frequency of the switching but not the percentage of "on" time. Throttle rate control is effectively a soft start delay or a rudimentary traction control. It doesn't affect the shape of the throttle curve. For example, if you have throttle rate at maximum and go from a dead stop to 50% throttle and hold it there, it'll accelerate with 50% power immediately. If you have throttle rate at minimum and do the same thing, holding the throttle at 50%, it'll take time to ramp up to 50% to avoid wheel spin or loss of control.

having what started as a random issue is becoming more frequent. Have a XR10 pro in my 2wd buggy. When I plug the OTA Bluetooth adapter into the esc and launch the HW app on my iPhone everything connects fine, I can access the parameters, firmware, and settings menus without issue. When I try the data log menu, it takes a rather long time and frequently I get a truncated message saying that the connection is abnormal. I've tried it with my Tx on, off, made sure the throttle trim is 0'ed out...seem to keep hitting the same issue.

Thanks!

So, we got a Quicrun WP 10BL120G2 esc, and upon hooking up and setting it to my sons Radio all fine. Having plugged in a 4S lipo, now the cooling Fan sounds like it wants to take off... Do I need the LED program Box to set it for 4S??? Found out after I ordered the ESC that my multifunction LCD program Box does me no good on these quickrun ESCs.

thoughts.

The fan should be powered by the BEC, the number of cells shouldn't affect that.
