Just read that xr8 g2s and xr10 g2s are in supported list. Would you have a try?
If it works, i will get myself a set for sure.

Easy and surefire way to tell the stock spec V4 from the previous versions?

Hopefully simple question(s)…XR10 Stock Spec…how do you select the 5 preset modes? Do you need the lcd programmer to do it? What preset mode is the factory default mode? They refer to them as “easy to select” presets…but then they aren’t specific about how to “easily select them” LOL.
PS I’m an electric noob, have only run nitro, this is my first brushless electric setup.

I have the manual and I can read, but I don’t see where it tells you what the default settings are, and by default settings I mean the settings the esc is set to from the factory. Can you please show me where?
Tech Apprentice

With programmer you can do factory reset to esc and you can see default settings. Previously in manuals default settings was darken.

I knew I wasn't crazy, it's no longer indicated in the manual like in the past. Here is the response from Hobbywing Tech Support:
Hello,
Unfortunately they are no longer "highlighted" in the manual like they were in previous generations so the only way to get them is to connect a programmer and review them. The default "profile" is #1
We have put in a request to get the defaults listed, but it will be some time before that happens.

For off-road with the xr8 g2s, are people running the zero or off-road profile ? Off-road profile like like it's softening the bottom then adding turbo and boost, and hads a different brake frequency. Usually when you addbesc timing you change gearing and drop a tooth or two on the pinion . Has anyone played with the profiles in 1/8 issue and found gearing changes needed to be made ? Or any issues running the off-road profile?

So... my last xerun pro sct died, which over time I have been replacing with xr8 sct escs which I have found out are being discontinued. What is hobbywing suggesting as a replacement that fits both the form factor and 4s capabilities that the xr8 sct satisfies?

My OTA programmer will not stay connected to my new/used XR10 pro. I tried resetting the module, restarting the ESC, uninstalling and reinstalling the app... I even tried connecting it to my other XR10 Stock Spec (that it worked with before) and it wont stay connected to that either??? The module will find and connect to the ESC, but once I try to check parameters, it says cannot load and breaks the BT connection (icon). The only thing that has changed is it was last connected to a HW esc in a mini-z and it worked fine. Now, not so much. Feeling very frustrated at this point. Please advise. Thanks.

So I think I accidentally fed power into the xr8 pro esc's programming port.
I had a battery plugged into my multifunction lcd programming box,(7.2 receiver lipo that I was using to check the function of the box) I wasn't thinking and I plugged the box into the esc. Now the esc won't power on when plugged into my battery (the proper way). The fan comes on and I get a blinking light if I plug the esc back into the program box with battery.
I can hook the program box with battery to the esc and plug it into the computer and the computer recognizes the esc. So I don't think the esc is completely fried.
Any advice?
