Question regarding XeRun XR8 PRO G2 ESC.
Multiple persons running this ESC in 1:8 GT class in my RC club is having problems with temp cutoff.
To be able to use this ESC we need to disable the temp sensor in the ESC.
It seems that the temp indicated by the ESC is way to high.
If ESC has had cutoff and you directly measure temp outside ESC it for ex reads just 45c celsius.
We have been using the same gearing with the XeRun XR8 Plus without any temp issues.
Anyone else with the same problem?
We think that the internal temp sensor must be calibrated wrong.

I've got this old Hobbywing Xerun that's a few years old and last used it 1.5 years ago for mod indoor buggy racing 10.5.... fast forward and I've put it into my Lunch Box with a 17.5 sensored motor and I want to have reverse reinstated. I have no program card... I know how to program my bigger Max6 no problem. This thing just goes beyond calibration mode and keeps flashing red with no other noises. Can someone please help?



I don't know if the Xerun ESCs can be adjusted without the programmings card...

You are right, it was possible on the older Xerun ESCs. A quick google search found this:

Just to make sure: so you held the set button (while switching the ESC on), throughout the red flashing until the green flashed once and only released it then, right? And then using the set key did not work to change modes?

Is it possible to open up a Justock and bypass/eliminate the power switch? I'd rather have no switch than a remote switch, I think the LCD program card can do everything the reset switch can, and I don't care about a warranty on a $50-60 ESC.

How do you plan on calibrating it? You need the switch for that.

Quick question.
My kid plugged his stock spec in backwards blowing it.
Trying to decide if the cost is worth fixing it. Anyone know roughly what HW charges to repair an ESC in a case like this?

First I have to say I had tons of other ESC but I´m new to Hobbywing.
Bought a XR8 SCT ESC and a OTA BT programmer unit.
I figured out how to program the SCT through the OTA but I have a problem left.
After modifying the parameters I have to save to store the new parameters to the ESC.
I also learned the throttle won´t work as long as the OTA is connected through BT to my iPhone.
OK so I disconnect at the app..
Now the XR8 SCT should be ready to work. But the throttle still doesn´t work at my SCT.
I have to restart (switching off and on again) the SCT for getting the throttle to work again.
Is this usual behavior?

I feel that my new combo of not getting full power. Last data log is showing 37,000 rpm and 178 on temp of the motor. Rc8b3.2e with a 16 pinion. Also the light on the esc when the throttle is pulled automatically goes to a flickering green and does not change thru the range to fullthrottle. It never gives any indication that it has got to full throttle. No color change. The same is true for braking side. I do have it set to the 1/8 off-road setting. Any help would be great.

I have two BL120 esc's and can't figure out how to get past Option 9 on the LED Program Card. Table 2 for surface vehicles has 12 settings that can be changed but the LED Program card only goes up to 9 then back to 1 without being able to change parameters 10,11 and 12. Any help with this will be appreciated. Thank you in advance
