Try setting the futaba tx throttle channel to reverse. That seems to be a universal setting for all futaba systems across all esc makers.

Default XR10 Justock vs Quicrun 10BL60

what is the performance differences between the XR10 Justock and the Quicrun 10BL60? Does the 10BL120 have "Blinky" mode? For $5 more, I may go with the 10BL120. I would like an ESC that I can race and has reverse while playing.

I gave it throttle and tried to move the car by hand. It started moving momentarily then immediately smoked the motor, actual smoke coming from the motor. I swapped in a friends Reedy S-Plus 17.5T and went back out for the next qualifier. Everything worked well and stayed cool. 3 or 4 min into the main the car again lands from a tiny jump and cogged to a stop. I walk off the stand and a marshal had pulled the body and said the motor was smoking.

Gearing was fine and temps were never above 130 on previous runs before the motors failed. Motors felt normal temperature, just smoking and smelled burnt. Sensor wire did not appear to be damaged in any way.

So my question is can the ESC be at fault or can a sensor wire short out to cause a motor to burn up? I just don't want to put in a 3rd motor and destroy it.
You could have a bad sensor wire. I've seen bad ones do funny things.

Has there been an update or a know-how to connect the LCD programmer to a apple laptop since the wifi module is out of stock everywhere?

You should be able to hook into it using a USB cable with the program box also hook up to the car with a charged battery and the car on.

Hi all! My XR8 SCT is giving an error code. It repeats 3 green flashes. Doesn't connect to the programming card and throttle pairing does work but then gives the error code again. Also, doesn't reset via SET button.
Any idea?

Thank you in advance

What exactly does the new module bring that the existing WiFi link to the app does not?

I think the new works via bluetooth instead of wifi. Just like the Tekin Bluetooth link.

I wonder if they use the same app. Docs talk about otg link. But the app does have a BT connection mode.

WiFi one wasn't on the market long, I wonder why the change to BT? I like the WiFi one as I have it as a preferred network so it just auto connects when it's on, but I guess with BT that happens anyway.

Hmm.

Will the XR8 SCT esc power on if the correct two wires are jumpered without the switch being connected? Yes, I know the switch has to be there to syn the esc to the receiver etc, but I'll deal with that another way. I'm just wondering if the switch can be bypassed so that the esc will power on when a battery is connected, or if it has to see the switch circuit board to do so.
