You can disconnect it, totally optional

Sounds like you have no signal making it to the receiver if it wont even set neutral.

I sure you can buy a new external switch if it had one already. If you need help ask someone locally to help you attach it.

For those who might not be aware of this nifty feature, you can turn off the ESC by holding the brake for 6 seconds

Bsthetech likes this.

It works great at the start of a main if the grid happens to be on an incline!
gigaplex and Bsthetech like this.

an astute racer will prop a small pebble as a chock block to prevent a car from rolling before the start

It is cool and convenient but a good reason why pros never use it

G3R 21.5 comes with 30820411 rotor. Roar states that 30820406 is a legal option rotor. They have the same 12.5x7x25.2 dimensions. Which has a higher gauss rating?

LLOL... you realize the irony in that this feature is made available with the "Pro" version of the XR10 series right?

I am absolutely aware of marketing gimmicks and things not necessary for a racing esc. Feel free to check any of the pros setup sheets that run Hobbywing and you will find the same results.
No pros use this feature and can care less about the reverse polarity protection that apparently the escís still get damaged

This feature saves time for club racers who need to turn off their equipment and get into marshal position. By not having to remove the body to turn off your ESC can save upwards of 10-30 seconds instead of stressing out the RD looking for marshals... but if a pro driver already has an entourage to marshal for them, then yeah I can see how this feature is targeted more for a club racer

Meh... I have the Hobbywing XR10 Pro Stock Spec V4 in most of my 1/10 vehicles and have the feature enabled. Never caused a problem. To each their own I guess.
