(Question for Hobbywing Staff)

Does Hobbywing have new 1/8 Xerun sensored motors in the pipeline or will the current line-up be supported through 2019?

Note that the temps recorded by the internal sensors will always give different readings to an external temp gun.

That would indicate that it has detected a 4S LiPo connected on power up. I would double check that the ESC is plugged into the Ch2 port on the Rx and swap ports to confirm that the trigger makes the servo actuate. Could be trim settings on the radio, etc. Be sure to follow the calibration instructions carefully, throttle reversed, etc..

Also disconnect the sensor wire just for peace of mind to rule out a bad wire.

hey just checking in to see if there is any new opinions on the G3 spec motor lineup in usage for offroad?

Looking at a 17.5T motor for 2wd buggy and a 13.5T motor for 2wd stadium truck (class allows boosting, however current motor in spec mode is plenty), and 13.5T for 4wd buggy.

Bought the WiFi thingy and it drives me nuts.
My phone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro with Lineage OS) can't find the WiFi. It just can't see it. When I add it manually it will connect maybe at once, maybe 2 min later. Tested it on 3 different locations, so other Wi-Fi's won't mess it up.
When I can connect, I can't connect to the ESC.

Dunno what to do else.
Any pro tips on the phone settings? (On my Android Samsung Tablet it works kinda flawlessly)

I run the G3 13.5 in 4wd buggy and it flies! I would say it is definately one of tge fastest race motors out and ut runs cool

Thanks. we have a very short track here, so torque is king. Do you have some timing ranges you recommend as well as any starting FDRs?

so Im wondering about the 2250kv motor for truggy use. Is Hobbywing's ratings a bit higher than say Tekin? I know Tekin recommends a 2000kv for a truggy. If they are rated similar, wouldnt the 2250kv be a bit overkill?

Also, this would be going in a RC8T3.1e with a 46T spur, am I reading that right that some are going as low as 12T or 13T pinion?

Thanks!

I'm running a 2000KV off brand in my truggy right now, it's fairly competitive, but there are times where I wish I had a pinch more power and have been considering going up to a 2250KV motor.

I will say that I have a 2250KV motor in my buggy and it's blazing fast on the straights, only problem is that it tends to spin the front wheels too much at 100% EPA and the tires will un-glue if I work the throttle too hard, I've had to back the EPA to about 85% too keep my tires glued with the throttle pegged, which has me thinking that 2000KV is probably about the same power anyway, doh!

Hmmm. On Amain it doesn't look like HW offers a 2000kv motor. I dont really thing I need a 2250kv since my track is medium sized, but I guess I can just turn down the EPA %

Or just run a 1900kv buggy motor

Won't that create more heat in the motor since its on a heavier vehicle? And don't quote me on this but I would have to run a much smaller pinion as well? Still trying to figure this gearing thing

I was trying to run a full HW setup but I might just go with a Tekin 2100 motor and HW ESC like I currently have in my eBuggy.

Like I mentioned, my track is medium sized, dont need a 2250 lol.
