If you think it's a bad switch then I would simply replace the switch, far less hassle IMO.
I know it's a bad switch. I've already cut it off and soldered the red wires together and it works perfect now, no glitching/cogging. Should be a combination of wires that act as the button did. On the old sct pro it was the white wire. Don't really want to short out my esc by randomly trying wires....lol. Can't believe I'm the only one with this issue.

Many racers are running them around here. What would you like to know?

Not exactly, in truggy the guys I know (myself included) run the 4274 2250kv motor. The 4268 would certainly work in a lightweight truggy, like the Tekno.

This 4268 2200kv is marketed as truggy motor, has me wondering if there is difference in it.

The difference on the outside is motor length, the 4274 motor is slightly longer, and makes a bit more torque due to being a bit larger. I am sure either would work fine, if you already have the shorter motor.

I have a Hobbywing XR10 1S that is getting HOT when running some mod 1/12. I have fitted bigger fans but that seems to matter very little... would an external capacitor help keep the temps under control? I have seen this recommendation for some Hobbywing 1/8 scale gear but not for smaller units.

I think they could help keep temps down , they will definately help in smoothung the throttle.

Which XR10? They have 5 of them to choose from, ha!

If you're running mod, then V3.1 makes sense, if stock, then Stock Spec 2-3S makes sense to save weight, but if you want flexibility to run mod later, then maybe get the V3.1 to have some flexibility

But is it worth it to upgrade from a 3.1 to the xr10 pro 160a?

It really depends on your needs and what extra features are important to you, if you already own the 3.1, then chances are it might not be worth it to upgrade, but if you're running into brownout/overheating or want to take advantage of extra features then it could be a matter of preference.

V3.1 vs XR10 Pro differences:
Weight = 42g vs 95g
Max Output = 120A/760A vs 160A/1200A
BEC = 3A-6V vs 4A-6V/7.4V selectable

New marketed features listed on the XR10 Pro that are not specifically marketed on the V3.1:
* Remote On/Off feature
* "1-degree" Precision throttle and brake control
* Coast Control (patent pending*)
* Drive Frequency Control
* Brake Frequency Control

Thanks for that although I think that weight spec is for wired on the xr10 thus the higher weight. My V3.1 is around that area with everything soldered. Was looking into it since my V3.1 has given up (my fault). We might be able to repair it since I have ordered the FET's but it's gonna take a long while. Just might save up for an xr10 then. Was looking into the TS120a as well but that BEC and remote on/off feature is a nice plus. Also, skyrc's wifi module is huge thus my hesitance on it.
