i accidentally touched the pos and neg on the program port. Now the esc power button doesn't.
Has anybody ever sent in their esc to hobbywing to get repaired?
How much is it to get repaired?

My question is: what is the firmware version that offers boost, without the pesky "start RPM" feature? I believe I recall there was a "smart" version that did away with that adjustment, because it was doing more harm than good if you aren't exactly sure of what you're setting it up at. I'm pretty sure my V3.1 was using a firmware that had gotten rid of it, but not sure if there is such a thing on the V2.1?

Thank you for the help

Paul
@COBRARACING would love some help thanks Angelo !

Any one have this happen before? I have a couple new xr10 pro 160amp Speedos. Have tried both in my mod tc. This is what they do. Both have softening, timing, boost, turbo running a 5.5 motiv. When you first hit the track it feels like they are in blinky mode. No boost or turbo for like 5 laps then it's like a switch is turned on and it's there for the rest of the run.???

For 1/8 buggy usage, are there real world benefits that the full HW 1/8 speedo has that the SCT version won't have?

And does the full 1/8 esc have issues being used on 2S power? (example, you use it in a 4x4 sct)

If you mean XR8-Plus, it should work with 2S fine. Just like my Quicrun 150A does even though it's technically for 3-6S.

thanks. Big issue I seem to recall on some of the older HW 1/8 units was they wouldn't work correctly on 2S usage so wanted to confirm.

I have never heard of that before. Just a question....why are you boosting a 5.5 motor? I dont know anyone who is doing that. They seem to have enough bottom end already. Try turning the boost off and the timing down on the turbo.

We do in on road...
Boost isn't just for bottom end if you know how to set up the speedo..

Default Justock

I am looking for a new esc for a 17.5 stock buggy. I was thinking about getting the justock. Are there multiple versions of the justock? On the hobbywing site it lists XR10 JUSTOCK SPEC ESC and does not appear to have the wires presoldered. Another site lists Hobbywing XERUN XR10 Justock with presoldered wires in the picture. I just want to make sure I get the latest version if there are differences.

Also do I need the card? Is the LCD the correct one if so?

There are actually two different JuStock Models. The original (rated at 45A continuous) and the current model, the XR10 JuStock (rated at 60A continuous). They both come pre-soldered with 14awg wire. As long as it states XR10, it is the most current model (as of 04/2018). The older models are actually pretty difficult to find nowadays anyway.

The multifunction LCD one is correct, and I would strongly recommend getting it. You don't "need" it for stock racing as the ESC is obviously blinky only, but it is pretty helpful for adjusting punch and brake force (among other things). This is also the only way of updating the ESC if/when future firmware is available.

EDIT - I figured out my issue at the last race. I ended up putting the justock ESC into my new B6.1d buggy with a 17.5T s-plus and it runs great. I put a new HW 10BL120 ESC into my 22T and still had issues. It ended up being the 13.5T LRP motor that was given to me. There is something wrong with it that after a few runs turned into ratcheting. I pulled it out and put in a hobbywing 17.5T motor I had and it ran fine the rest of the night. So no issue with any of the hobbywing stuff. It is all working great.

Need help with a Xr10 justock ESC.
When I start the red light quickly flases as expected for neutral but after driving flashes green single long flashes.

After running for a few mins the motor is still cool, can easily hold finger on it but the ESC light is blinking green. Per the manual this is for ESC overheat. The ESC feels cool to the touch.

The vehicle doesn't run slow or anything. I also factory reset it and that did not stop it from flashing green.

The solder joints and wires are good. I re seated the sensor wire.

Any ideas? I gave up after a bit and ran for 10 mins on the track and actually ran 3 of my fastest laps in a row so I'm not seeing any performance issues..

Will I damage the ESC if I keep running it with the light blinking green?

Setup:
TLR 22T 4.0
13.5T LRP Vector K7
78/22 gearing
Orion 3200mah shorty 2s lipo
SDRC raceway (indoor clay)

I tried the supplied Y connector that has 3 wires on one side and 2 on the other to no avail. I also used a standard Y connector. ESC wire on one end. WiFi Express on the other and plugged into the RX. Get it powered, and connected to wifi, but not to the ESC. What am I doing wrong?
I'm having the same issue with a Xerun SCT Pro. And I don't have the program box to update the firmware on the ESC first. If I knew this, I would of just gotten the program box lol.

Stupid question since Im new to electric, does the radio have to be on while doing this?
