Just bought a used Kraton with a Hobbywing 8BL150 installed. It was set for 6s cell count. I'm trying to use the beeps to select 4s cell count.

figured it out.

Hello all. I'm looking for a replacement female connector for the Hobbywing Justock cooling fan. it's the female connector on the speed control side.

I've searched and bought something similar but doesn't quite fit. It's a micro JST connector but I didn't realize there were so many variations of the 2-pin type I'm looking for.

Does Hobbywing sell these connectors individually or can anyone direct me to a supplier where I can buy them? Thanks in advance.

I think just buying a new fan would be the easiest and most practical thing to do.

Thanks but that still leaves me with no connector on the speed control side. That's what I'm missing.

Thanks for that! I'll put an order in.

Default What esc to get?

Hi. Can I use any brushless esc with my remote? Or do I have to buy it to match with the controller that I have? (my controller is not programmable).

Yes you can within reason. Once you have connected your new ESC to your receiver you will calibrate the ESC to your Transmitter following the ESC instructions. The Hobbywing Justock series of ESC's would likely match your requirements if you are not running anything too hot.

Does anyone know if I can send damaged ESC's to Hobbywing NA for a repair? These would not be warranty issues, id like new motor/battery connectors soldered to the escs. All I see on their website is a form to request a warranty repair, I'd like to pay for their services to refurb 2 escs.

Submit a request using the RMA service. Someone should contact you about it

Default Problem with quicrun 150amp esc

Hello all I am from south africa I have a 150a quicrun and after running it for about 5 minutes on the road on 4s with a 1600kv motor it goes into some sort of a protection but there is no flashing of the led or anything. It just doesn't allow me to go forward or reverse. Motor temp is cool and esc temp is cool batteries r fully charged aswell switching it of and on doesn't help unless I wait a good 5 minute's. After it goes I'm it's 'protection mode' so to say, and I try switching it off and on it comes on n flashes but it does not beep like normal ... after waiting 5 minutes or so and I switch it on it works fine again for about 5 minutes and the process repeats anyone have any idea? TIA

So in my losi scte 2.0 I have the xr8 sct pro esc and 3652 g3 3800kv.
I'm geared at 17/40 with punch now at 7 ( stock was 5) added 2* of timing to the esc. Running in full sensor mode. Motor can timing left stock. Coming off the track at 120 and I feel like I could use more infield punch and a little more top end Speed.

Should I add some more punch and esc timing, possibly a gear change?

turn the punch up, and gear your vehicle to top out towards the end of the longest straight. I would also zero out the timing when doing this.

Measure temps and see how it goes. From there, you could potentially play with timing.

In the old days when running the 540 sized Pro4 motors to get more punch and top end out of them when gearing would cause too much heat, we would:

- Drop pinion size a tooth or 2
- Use A Little Boost timing (like 5 degrees) in a higher RPM range

The combo of the two would give more punch and increase top end as using timing on the full range would just generate too much heat.

As a side point, in general you should also gear your motor without using fans on it to get a more accurate picture of how the temps are as you don't want to be solely dependent on a fan. If it dies, your motor can die too.

Still waiting on ESC, it says possible friday delivery but I am hoping it can make it today instead.

Having a little issue with an xr10 justock that I hooked up. Motor will not turn unless I give the rear wheels a little push then it operates as normal until I lock the wheels up by braking or stopping completely. I have to push it again for it to get power. When it sits I hit the throttle and the spur moves a tiny bit, but not enough to get it going. What's up?
