HOBBYWING TECH SUPPORT 1/8 & 1/10 OFF ROAD

Put my spare 1st generation HW Max8 in one of my vehicles today. Checked the setting via program card. The LVC was set to disable, So I put all the settings back to default. Ran the truck, NO LVC kicked in, even though the low voltage alarms on the balance plugs started beeping at 3.5 volts. Put a charge back into the batteries, reset the LVC to HIGH, ran the truck still no LVC kicked in. Tried the other settings and the same thing, no matter what the settings were.
Running 2 SMC 2s 6500mah 60c batteries wired in series and know they are good
What's going on? am I missing something? is this one gonna have to be RMA'd too?

I am having a issue with my program box. When i plug it in widows says it does not recognize it. I have tried 2 computers any suggestions ?

Just bought a used V3.1 and got some issues.
I downloaded the USB Link and pluged in the Program Box. I pluged the ESC to it and pressed On, but nothing happened. After that I switched an device "LCD programm Box" and upgraded the latest firmware. After that the LCD of the programming box just shows boxes in the first line of the display. I didnt disconnect anything - what went wrong?
The USB Link shows for the LCD Device a green dot for the LCD program box!
Edit: I think I kinda messed up the Program Box Firmware - any chance for "repair"?
Edit2: I tried to reinstall the old firmware that was shown on first connect, (V1.11_120331_V3). The upgrade goes up till 50% and then the small windows closes. Thats all!
Edit3: Restart PC & Execute as admin and no it works.....DUH

Question about the Bandit 21.5 G2. I just ordered one to run in my local 21.5 Blinky Outlaw Touring Car class. I want to run the largest rotor possible and I ordered it with the 13.5mm rotor but it doest not fit inside the stator. I thought this motor came with a 13mm rotor to begin with but to my surprise it came with a 12.3mm rotor and by the looks of it I dont think the stator will fit anything larger than a 12.5mm but I want to be sure before I send the rotor back to amain for an exchange or a refund if there isnt an upgraded rotor option for this motor.

Hello!
I purchased a new Xerun XR10 Justock ESC a few days ago (April 30, 2016). First ever brushless system for me. It's connected to a Reedy Sonic Mach 2 17.5t motor. I was testing the installation and noticed that when I'm just barely applying throttle the motor/car appears to "stutter" but this disappears once I apply just a little more throttle. Additionally, when I immediately squeeze the throttle (100%) from a stop, the car seems to hesitate for maybe half a second and then appears to accelerate to full throttle. The ESC only does this from a stop, while driving the car at speed, throttling up and down and applying brake/coasting I do not notice the acceleration lag.
I am running the ESC in factory default-- no programming applied. I calibrated the ESC according to the instruction sheet.
Is the stuttering and acceleration lag typical behavior for a sensored brushless power system?

Thanks for any advice!

Hello, While using my SCT pro ESC it cut off after 5 minutes. On first inspection both the ESC and motor were cool but the RC wouldn't move. I've tried using a different battery and this made no difference and checked all the wiring. When turning the ESC on the lights light up and I'm able to turn the servo, I'm also able to calibrate and program (via box) the ESC. The only differences is that it no longer beeps when It's connected to the controller or when I re-calibrated it. I've looked in the manual and I can't see anything that is related to it no longer beeping. Please could you advise on the best cause of action.

The reason I was running the LVA is that without the LVC functioning the cell voltage in one battery dropped to 3.1 and still no Low voltage cut off from the esc. So it's not that I want the cut off so high, just functioning as it should. Max8 doesn't have a programmable setting for a specific voltage like many other HW ESC's. With it, you must program cell count (4, or 6) then you have a choice of Disable, High, Intermediate(Auto), Low.

Also, could my battery be a limiting factor? I was re-reading the Justock's documentation this AM and it mentions that a battery that is unable to deliver sufficient current will cause exactly the symptoms I am seeing.
I am currently using a 4000mAh 20C LiPo.
Supposedly the XR10 Justock is a 60A ESC (is that a continuous draw? and it is able to draw 320A in bursts) and the battery is able to deliver 80A (in theory). According to Reedy/AE the Sonic Mach2 draws 28A (192W). So far it seem that the battery should be able to provide what is needed. Perhaps barely. So perhaps I will start by reducing the "Punch" setting and see if this makes a difference.
Unfortunately my understanding of electrical principles is severely lacking (but I'm working to educate myself) so I'm still unable to properly calculate anything.

Sometimes I've found to get the best advice it's best to contact the tech support people for what ever product it may be, Here's a phone number for Hobbywing NA 1-800-720-2351.
Good luck, I'm sure it's just something simple
