Then i tried to hookup the program card. I hit OK and it says connecting.. but never actually connects.

Is the BEC interfering with programing the Speedo??
Sounds like your not getting throttle signal. Make sure you are bound to the receiver. Then make sure you are plugged in correctly, and the battery is charged.

it would be nice if it cut power in half and I could make it back around the track.

No....this is the way they work.

Yup tx is off. This problem ONLY STARTED with the latest software update. While I could revert to the old software, the LVC fix outweighs the new problem. But its still a problem.

I have been running mine in an SCTE 2.0 for over 1.5 years... not one ounce of trouble and plenty of speed/power with it.

I'm sorry, but Orions arent the be all/end all of electronics...
After I seen their price on the 4.5t 550 can 2 pole SCT motors... they can pound sand if they think they have a motor worth $195

Is there a certain order to using the usb to programmer? I plug it into my computer to update and my hobbywing program crashes. How do you update your speed controller?

Any word on adapting the software to be fine tuned via Android/iOS yet so we can leave the laptops at home?

I have them both(the Stock Spec in my stock class 2WD buggy, & the all-aluminum one in my mod class 4WD buggy), & aside from the weight & current rating of them, they both work the same(& I LOVE both of them, best value in an ESC I've had yet in my 26+ years of racing, mostly with top of the line Novaks & Tekins up until a year ago when I tried my first HW, now I have 4 of them)....

I have to admit it would be cool if I had a version of the data link software that would work on my android phone(especially for reading the data logs from the ESC)....

You realize that HW has a ton of software bugs and Orion is typically a higher spec'd hardware with reliable software?
I am cheap and running HW SCT Pro successfully though, but it has bugs, that their support is calling normal.
