Hey guys

Just had this happen today. I have one of the 120A 1s versions (2.1) and it just stopped sending power to the motor. I cased a jump kinda hard but I have the ESC on a foam pad so it has some shock absorbency.

I have ran this ESC for one winter onroad in my 1/12th pan car (1s) and now my 1/10th Scale buggy (associated B4)

Ran it all summer as well with no issues. never really got over 120F.

It is still sending power to the receiver so it's BEC is working.
I can re-program it and it all seems to work that way.
I have tried a few firmware versions but each time I get no motor spin. and when I try and re-calibrate it to the radio I don;t get the normal motor chimes.

Anyone had this and know a solution? or is it time for Angelo to help me out

sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Thanks to the other posters, yes I would actually say buy your esc from http://www.falconsekido.com/ . I have bought from Hobbypartz before and haven't had any major issues, but as Falcon is the "executive" distributor, they most often have the best prices and actually have a warranty/return policy: http://www.falconsekido.com/pages/return-policy

I am actually going to be receiving one of these exact motors pretty soon, I will most likely post on here about it after I've ran it a bit (this is one of the few HW motors i have not used).

Maybe, maybe a re-flash of the firmware might do the trick.

SO I played around with the BOX and the ESC and I was able to get the ESC into Blinky mode. But I still have V3 installed on the Dig box. I tried locating the older software I need for my ESC. I show 1.11_120331_V3.

The ONLY other version that comes thru. on the Software is 1.08_120504

Anyone know how to find the older software? I want to try and re-install a previous version. I tried looking on HW site, http://www.hobbywing.com/product_show.asp?id=246

How can I find the previous software editions?

I'm running an SCT Pro with a 4000kv Tenshock SC411. Sometimes the ESC will be blinking red and green at the same time and it seems to act a little more like a sensorless setup until I unplug everything and let it "cool down." By acting like a sensorless, I mean it cogs a little at low speed from a start.

I did notice when I plug in my programmer, it's on a "MONSTER" profile. I'm not running any timing or boost. It's only occasionally that it will start flashing red/green. How can I get it out of the monster profile? Any other ideas on what could be the problem?

monster is just the profile name, once you change a setting on it, its now your own profile it just is a way to allow you to have more than 1 profile setting w.o changing all the values everytime. Not a big deal or hurting anything on the MONSTER profile, but if you hit the value on the advanced LCD box you should be able to change through the profiles and i think there is 2 or 3 of them...

Hopefully someone will chime in on the blinking lights, mine does this but the only time i notice it is when i pull the truck up to check temps before running a full batt through or at the end of a batt and i kno its not LVC but is kinda frustrating that it comes on and makes you wonder why its on...
