HOBBYWING TECH SUPPORT 1/8 & 1/10 OFF ROAD
#8551

I just purchased the 120amp sct Pro esc. I also have the LCD program box. The esc has a delay when you hit the throttle and then goes full power after about 1-2 secs when starting from a full stop. It doesn't do it when my truck is already moving. I have tried the latest firmware, different motors and receivers. I have also made sure that there is no expo or any settings that could affect this in the radio. Is there any thing else I need to look at?

Yeah. I've made sure the batteries are charged, different sensor wires and the connections are fine.
Does anyone know what the current version of firmware is for the SCT Pro?

Suspecting Low Voltage Cutoff, but don't know why.
Brand new SCT Pro, replacing a Viper VTX10 and borrowed Tekin RS. No shutoff problems whatsoever with those two. Installed in HPI Blitz ESE, with Viper VST 8.5 (4000 kv). Initially geared at 21/88. First race with a 1 year old Protek 4300 mah 100c shorty, ESC shutoff/went into limp mode immediately after 5 minute qualifier. Motor temp was 124. ESC was like 65.
Second qualifier, running 4000 mah 75c Racers Edge Shorty, 1 year old. ESC went into limp mode again 1:00 into race. I also noticed when I put this battery back on the charger, it was already at 7.6. Started at 8.4 as always.
LVC is set to factory preset 3.2. Punch was level 6. Didnt touch timing (later noticed factory preset is +15?!?)
For the main, I turned off LVC. No limit. Also though, ran a brand new Orion 4500/100c shorty. Dialed Punch back to 5, and geared up to 24/88. (Large fast outdoor track). ESC made the full 7 minute main. And was fast and won. Nothing got hot.
So question is, why was this ESC shutting off so quickly with LVC set to 3.2? Neither the Viper or Tekin shutoff in a year of using the same batteries on the same and similar tracks. Punch on those were usually 60-70% w/8.5. I never ran timing on them though.
Would running the preset 15 Degree timing on a 8.5 cause so much current draw that the batteries would go below 3.2c per cell on a fresh charge? Again, nothing ever got hot. Not even close.
It was a large track with lots of wide open throttle, but so far I'm not impressed.
What's the lowest safe setting I can set the lvc to? I never practice. Longest runs I ever do would be a 7 minute main plus a few practice laps first. The battery should never get to any dangerously low levels running like this.

I run all mine at 2.6-2.8 no issues.

Need a little help. I'm new to electric off-road. I'm going to start running 4wd off-road mod. I have a hobby wing Xerun V2.1 120A with a 4.5 reedy motor. Will that work for this class.

The motor may struggle a bit. 4x4 SC Trucks are heavy, everyone I know that run them are using 550 motors rather the 540s
