HOBBYWING TECH SUPPORT 1/8 & 1/10 OFF ROAD

I just tried to program my Neewer ESC/550 4 pole motor combo with the hobbywing program card(version 2). It did power the card.....But it would NOT enter a program mode. It would only show a constant series of hash marks(dashes) in the displays. I did try my speed passion card as well; wouldn't even power up. So, unfortunately, I am now hoping that a Neewer card will work. I say hopefully because the pictures of the cards online are not identifying themselves as "Neewer" brand; they look generic. At least now we know.
The newer LCD program box has a built in lipo battery cell checker.

it does work great when i use it for mod (the reason i bought it) with lots of brake. but some tracks i switch over to 17.5 stock and should be able to use the same esc (zero timing mode)
hoping that the HW Tech Support is answering posts. Or if any of you have a good support number to call in the states, my local hobby shop is of no value.
THanks

Thanks for your input, I increased to max for both parameters, then recalibrated by transmitter. I may have gotten a 20 percent change but no where near my old tekin. Still wondering if i am doing something wrong/missing something, surely it should have plenty of braking power.

Looking for setup advice for the exrun 150a/2200 sensored system for a d812 with a rc moster conversion installed. Setup sheet would be great. I do have the program box. Also gearing with the stock 48 t spur. Running on med to low grip track

Dumb question, I need a couple speed controllers, but im deciding between the Stock Spec V3.1, and the Justock club spec ESCs, one is for 21.5 spec TC and the other is for 21.5 Tamiya mini.
Ill never need to run a hotter motor than a 21.5. Will i notice ANY performance difference if i just decide to go with the cheaper justock?

With an older series speedo (v2.1, xtreme, and justock) they need to have the 508_No_Timing firmware installed. The v3 series the boost and turbo just has to be set to 0. And the ESC will blink. Of course to be truly legal and roar approved it has to be in mode 2. But again if boost and turbo is not at 0 it will not blink in any mode.

My stock spec at 30 degrees boost really draws the battery down quickly. Went to 15 degrees of boost and much better.
