Fan wont be needed, but keep an eye on temps.

Hi Guys, I just picked up a SCT Pro and I was looking to update the software with the USB Link. What is the latest version available? Thanks.

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the quick reply. I just hooked up the USB Link and it wont give me that software option. Please see the attached screen shot. You can see the software version the SCT Pro currently has and the one upgrade option it gives me. From the info I can find this software is for the HW v3.1; how can i change it?

Thanks, JH

I run blinky mode (profile #2) then just switch the punch settings to 15 for both settings and adjust from there. I can look at my settings if you want to know exactly what I'm running. Also you're probably going to want to up the can timing to appx 45. Just check temps. My gearing is 21-81 in my stadium truck with a 2.6 trans.

Hi Paul,

I tried that of course. The only 2 software versions in the drop down menu are the currently installed version version and the one selected in the pic posted.

Any other suggestions? How is it possible that Hobbywing's own USB link program (updated to most recent version) does not list the correct software for the SCT Pro? This is just frustrating and over-complicated.

Thanks.

The one that is greyed out is actually a newer version. I'd use that.

Did anyone try out my 3.1 boosted set up yet? How did you like it?

I'm having a problem with a customer's V3.1 1S.
The customer bought it used and it worked when he bought it. We hooked it up to the USB Link Software with the Multi-function box because he wanted to turn on the timing and such, but he didn't have the programming cables. He updated the firmware in the box and in the ESC as well. He also reset the ESC to the default settings. Now the ESC has a blinking green light and goes Beep-Beep, which according to the manual is low input voltage. He swears he used a new charged pack and it's still happening.

I had him pull the ESC out of his car and send it to me, since I have the correct programming cables for the multi-function box.

Any ideas on what I can try when I get the ESC in my hands to troubleshoot this issue??

Was it hooked up to a 1s battery while programmed for 2s? Happened to me!

It shouldn't have been, since it won't work with a 2S, being the 1S version of the 3.1.
