Best to only download firmware through the software unless you are well versed in writing it. That version sounds about right for the 1s version, not sure on the 2s one.

The spark comes from the caps on the esc. If you plug the battery in with the switch off you shouldn't get that.

anyone know if a ezrun wp sc8 esc will work good with a v10 8.5t motor in a 2wd buggy? i noticed both the v3.1 and the sc8 esc's are 120 amps constant and 760 burst. also would the 4600kv motor with the wp sc8 speedo work ok in 2wd buggy. may be in a bind and need to borrow something for a race this weeekend.

for the hobbywing 3656SD, is it classified as a "550" motor officially, or like Trinity's Zombie, a "545" motor?

Note: I know its in between the size of the 540 and 550 common lot of motors, but curious what Hobbywing is officially classifying it as.

had a pretty good "debate" with someone concerning its classification, so curious what hobbywing's official position on it is.

the arc when you connect is very normal for alot of electronics. you probably dont notice it much . real car batteries do it whenyou change it . when hooking up car audio the amps do it.

theres nothing wrong with the esc/battery
