"Hobbywing esc's are dominant across all 3 SPEC Classes. Split between the Stock SPEC, V3.1 Stock SPEC, and the V3.1. Hobbywing has taken all 3 TQ positions!"

With the sct pro, can you run a 4s 20c battery on it? My first time in 1/8. My 1/10 esc ' s all required a minimum of 30 of other brands but that was 2s batteries.

I really like your 10th scale v2.1 and 3.1 stuff as well at the justtock....but the 8th scale and sct stuff leaves room for improvement. Yeah, and I know you guys make the orion, hacker, orca lines. Reedy says your not making their black box. No idea on the new team powers and SMC stuff, even though it has a hobbywing look to it.

I've had zero problems with my SCT stuff. IMO the 4wd short course motors are the best in the business. And the SCT Pro is great. I haven't used a 150amp version. You can't go wrong with a true Hobbywing product.

I know the SMC ESC is just a HW copy made by ZTW in China.

Don't forget the SkyRC TS120A looks really similar to the 3.1

Any word on a Hobbywing version of the bluetooth module?

Coming from a Reventon Pro, I loooove my HW3.1. Very smooth, easy to program, it's nice to be able to switch to the other profiles with just the progbox too. No computer/new firmware required.

I picked up some orions for cheap because of the r10.1's coming out. Other wise, I would run the HW stuff all day long. I do wish the foot print could be made a little smaller. todays cars have so little room in them. Also, the solder posts that tekin uses are very nice. the tall posts make it very easy to custom wire the esc for the cars. I would also like to see some blacked out replacement switches.

I am just putting the 150a esc into my 8ight and the footprint is kinda large. Is it possible to unsolder the wires that go to the from the esc to the motor so I can just wire straight to my motor?

Cut back the shrink wrap and cut the wires off close to the post. The large wires act as a heat sink and you need a very good hot iron. QUESTION....Why not just use the stock wires?

I'm running a motor with pre attached wires that are essentially the perfect length. So I either shorten both and solder together or remove the ones going into the esc and just solder straight from the motor to the posts on the esc.

Default V3.1 stock spec

I know this is off-road but i need some technical help. I run 17.5 blinky touring car. I built a new car with all new components. I installed a hobbywing v3.1 100 amp stock spec, spektrum 6070 servo, a spektrum sr2000 reciever, a new smc 6000 80c lipo, and a hacker skalar 17.5 motor. When I put the car on the track I ran about 2 laps and the car lost steering and power. When I brought it in, I noticed the esc was on but I had no power to the receiver. I turned the esc off and back on and everything was ok. I checked all connections and put it back on the track. Ran a couple of laps and the same thing happened. The servo was not acting right so I thought maybe I got a bad servo. Went in and bought a futaba s9551 installed seemed smooth on the table and everything seemed ok. Ran a couple laps and same problem. Changed lipo, still same problem, thought maybe the capacitors were bad so I put in a team powers xbooster capacitor, same problem, went into the programming and disabled lipo cutoff and the motor temp setting. Same problem. Finally changed out the esc and the problem went away. It acts like a bec problem. Any thoughts? It currently has the mod 1 default software on it. Please help!!

I have a hobbywing in my 12th scale and TC and love them. In my new Losi 22 2.0 I have a Speed Passion esc that I had hanging around but was plan I gett a HW as soon as I could. Here is a fast run down of my day racing 2wd mod.
Heat 1, was leading and TQing, at 3-1/2 mins my esc overheated and turned off. I dropped down 2 teeth in pinon and dropped timing.
Heat 2, just made it and qt. 2nd
Heat 3, was on TQ place and over heated again. As I was on place I didn't want to chance it so I went in the hobby shop and bought a HW stock spec V3.1 100a. Didn't even have time to program it so here we go.
Main A1, just missed 1st and took 2nd. I program it and was ready.
Main A2, by the first lap I took the lead and never looked back. Overall win with the fastest time and laps.

Thank you Hobbywing for all your great products. Now, my goal is to replace my motors with Hobbywing V10's.

Thanks again
Ed
