I have a quick question for you sct pro esc guru's on here. I run this with a Tekin 1900 in my Escale. When going thru the throttle range, I have a ton of low to medium power and speed. No real top end tho. I had a pro drive my car at a local and he said the same thing, first thing he said. It come on really strong and then tappers off and I can't gear it any higher to smooth out the bottom while getting more top end. He said buy a "Tekin and I can help" One, he sponsored and two I don't think he has ever messed with a HW. He just didn't know. I have the program card, not the fancy LCD one. Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks in advance

Stock setting on punch is 5, try setting it to 3 and adjust your timing to 6 to try to get more top end. Watch your temps when playing with timing. On the Tekno we run a 19x44 or 20 tooth pinion with that set up and an 1800kv motor. How long is your straight?

Depends where I run. 70- 150ft. I never really worried about the straight. I watch my temps and adjust. its not the straight were I get this problem. Maybe a mini straight before some quad or double. I run a Tekno as well, 18 has been the highest Ive taken it on my 1900. Thanks for the input. Ill drop the punch and add some timing.

You may be spinning the tires when approaching the jumps. The 1900kv should have pleanty of grunt for jumps, leave the timing where it is and try going up on the pinion. I know the HW motors only run around 140 or so with that gear, I dont know about Tekin. ...

Set 1st stage to 10 and still had a whole lot of punch entering a long straight. Have to feather the trigger to keep the truck under control. Anyone else running a 7.5 in their sct? What 1st and 2nd stage punch settings are you using?

Default Hobbywing Program Box Connection Problem!!!

Hi,

I currently own a CEN Racing Colossus Brushless Monster Truck and recently purchased the Multifunction LCD Program Box for it, but for some reason it will not connect to the ESC. It shows the ESC details on the screen and when you select return on it, it shows connecting to esc and it will not connect. Please let me know if the ESC is faulty or what the problem might be?

Thanks.

Are you sure that you have the wires in the correct port?
I have made that mistake before

What ESC? SCT Pro that one uses the fan port. Also if its getting any receiver input it wont connect. Can try to unplug the receiver wire from the receiver.

Yeah, my settings were a guesstimate. If you are still experiencing to much lower it some more. Its not going to hurt anything. IMO a 7.5 is just to much unless you have a ton of experience and a real good throttle finger. I run a 10.5 in mine.

Thanks again Roger. The 7.5 is definitely a whole lot of motor. Been running it for several years now and even though I race 2-3 times a week, I need to control the power. Interesting that my fast lap times are close to my stock b5m. Need to shave another second off my buggy lap times to join the super fast guys at my track. Will continue to experiment with 1st stage punch control and see how things feel. Will be nice to peg the throttle coming into the straight without having to feather the trigger when racing pressure is on. Thanks again for the input.

crank up the timing, it makes a big difference on the 1900kv, I had the same thing going on on mine.
