Some escs do that for a bit then switch over to flashing just green which is sensorless mode.

See above. honestly though, if the truck is having no issues id continue running it and no try to mess with it if the only problem is the light.

I have a Losi SCTE 4x4 and last night i tried to run my XERUN SCT-PRO Sensored ESC +3656SD(4700KV) for the first time and had nothing but over heating problems. Both my heat races and my Main i thermaled and had DNF. I was running a stock 40t spur and a 14t pinion. even the guys at the track were stumped, can anyone help me figure this out.

I made a video on how to upgrade the firmware on an Xtreme Stock. The Justock will be the same way.

Hope that helps any more questions feel free to email me at [email protected] I can even talk you through it if needed.

Simple enough Roger, thanks very much for the info. I just didn't know if the ESC needed to be plugged into the program box or if the program box transferred the firmware, I got it now.

But use the 508stock firmware for stock blinky then? Do you know if they did any other upgrades with the V3.3 software, i.e. a "510stock" or something?

I will be trying this in about 2hrs when I get home and solder some power tips to the ESC.

Regards,

agreed. you could probably run that motor in an 1/8th scale if you run on a small track. id try either the older hobbywing 540s or the new v10s with a 7.5-8.5 motor.
Timing was the lowest it could be with the program box. Esc was mounted with 2 layers of parma servo tape and on an esc tray supported with o-rings on the bottom. Virbration was not an issue. Any ideas?

And any way to know where your esc is when it's being replaced/repaired? I'd like to know the progress on my warranty and when my replacement will ship out.

I have the same motor / ESC / gearing in my scte 2.0 no heat issues at all. Timing set @ #5, punch @ #9, motor is @ 165* after a 10 min run esc @ 125*.

Only time it has overheated was when I lost a rear pinion gear bearing in the gearbox. I would check all my bearings never know what you might find. Also is your esc fan running?

I had my timing at 0 and punch at 1. The ESC fan was working. My truck is fairly new and only has about 8 race days on it. Everything rolls smooths no indication of a bad bearing. Gear mesh is good. Im stumped and frustrated

Curious to see what the rpm limits are for the ez run 35A and 60A escs are. Looking into hobbywings to run an outrunner motor in the mini 8ight, but there's been a few that have run into problems with the hobbywing trying to run 6 pole motors. Looking to run something similar to this.
Kv (rpm/v) 3800
Weight (g) 51
Max Current (A) 32
Resistance (mh) 0
Max Voltage (V) 11
Power(W) 330
Is there any esc you would recommend that could run that on 3S that's not too big? Thanks

508 is the only Roar approved blinky firmware. It was last updated in I believe the V3.1 pc software.

Ran 1/8 e buggy today with the sct pro and hw 1850kv motor. I took the win on a large outdoor track. I love that motor. I geared it like my tekin 1900 and it was ok but temp after a run was at 135 degrees. I added 15 degrees of timing on the speedo and the thing was keeping up with tekin 2050's but coming off the track at only 150 degrees after a 10 minute main in 90+ degree weather. I love this combo. It kicks ass.

What esc is suggested for a 6.5 or 7.5 motor in a 2wd stadium truck. Can these esc's be fine tuned in small increments? Lastly how is product support and relaibility?

If you want more adjustabillity than anything else go with the v3.0 or v3.1, you can get very lost if you don't have experience adjusting boost and other factors. It is very reliable...................

I updated the firmware on the ESC today using V3.3 Software. The options I got were V1 508 no timing and V3 508 no timing. I wasn't sure of the difference and just did V3 508.

and other equipment you use on it? try gearing down first and see what happens.

Just as paul said the v3 is a great reliable esc for this.
