$217 is looking kinda steep with no programing box and only 120a 3 cell lipo... Think this price will come down at various resellers closer to or after launch?

Default Motor

Hello,

I have been running hobbywing electronics in all of my buggies for quite some time now. And I have loved them! My question is can I get replacement end caps for the motor? I currently have the 2250kv 4168 1/8 buggy motor and two of my screw holes are stripped out and it's not allowing me to be able to mount the motor to my buggy. I have had the hobbywing motor for about four to six months at most and would love to be able to still run it. Any help will greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Are they 3mm screw holes? A lot of 1/8 scale mounts are moving to 4mm screws. So if you have 3mm holes I will drill and tap them for 4mm screws. And I guess it isn't possible to rotate the motor 60 degrees to another set of holes? Or just rotate the end cap, it has 4 holes so you could probably do a 20 to 30 degree rotation.

I'm on my first hobbywing esc. It's a blue case 120amp xerun. What is the latest version of software for it? I just got the program box in the mail.

Go to www.hobbywing.com, I think it is 1.64. The program software has all the different versions that can be downloaded. I think I ran 323stock even in Mod.

Ewwww I don't like the new esc. I think I'll stick to my blue Xerun 150A sensors esc. Least I can run my 6s lipos even if I'm not with the latest and "greatest"

I was hoping they would sell replacements but if not I will have to change to 4mm. I have already stripped out 4 of the six holes. The metal is just not made strong enough for 1/8. I love the motor tho so I will tap the new threads. Thanks for the help.

This is the v3 120a. Hopefully a new v3 150a will follow shortly, that will be the same as your blue 150, but fancier.
