Nope, the V3 will be perfect for that. It will weigh less and it is much more adjustable. not to mention if you decide to put it in something else it is much more versatile.

I am not familiar with the size of the Tekno motor mounts, but if you have a tekno 42mm mount and the motor is 39.8 i would not use it. Especially not if you are planning to use the fins on the motor to take up the space.

Wow that's just what I need! How fast is the shipping? I assume they have a US warehouse since its HW America but I just want to be sure. I'm at the check out of PayPal and so far I haven't seen any shipping options.

Well I guess I'm a hobbywing fanboy now. I just bought the whole esc/motor/ and program card for less than $200! I can't believe their prices! I wonder how long it will take to get here though, lol.

right on...you'll love them! thats what i try to tell people, you jsut spent less than $200 for all that shipped(free shipping over $99) yet an RX8 is $200 on its own and still need motor and hotwire BUT their warranty is 1 year compared to 180 days(falconsekido) but will still stick with HW for the price...

I would think by weeks end you should have it...

Yeah man I still can't believe all that for $191 bucks, lol! I always like to buy new stuff but in 8th scale it's unrealistic/not worth it sometimes. I've heard so many good things about HW, so I figured why not. I'm sure I'll love especially every time I feel my wallet! End of the week would be sweet.

Falcon sekido uses USPS priority mail. So you should have your combo on Wednesday. Their shipping has always been good to me.

Hope that helps

Tekin warranty is 120 days.

Only problem with the Hobbywing 1/8th scale motors is they do not take 4mm mounting screws. Only 3mm. Some buggies (Losi being one) use 4mm screws. Also, the stiff wires instead of solder tabs is a minus. Good value though if the motor works for your application. Only motor I have seen to beat the HW in price for a sensored motor is the red Trackstars from HobbyKing. No real warranty on those though.

Does anyone think that the EZRUN 60a ESC will struggle in a 1/10 scale 2wd buggy running a 8.5 turn 540 hobbywing motor with 2s lipo?

Noob question... I have everything installed and i'm trying to flash my ESC to the new changes but i'm having trouble. I connect the program box to my laptop via the USB cable, then the ESC to program box and i get nothing... Am I doing this the right way or no?

Thanx!

Make sure you have a charged battery connected and the esc turned on before connecting to the cable. I made that mistake once and couldn't figure out why my programming box wouldn't work lol.
