977 and lipos

from what i've read, i can use my superbrain 977 if i get a trakpower v-balancer. does anyone suggest such a combo, or have a suggestion for something else i can use with my superbrain to safely balance and accurately charge lipos? i have the charger from a few years ago, when i was running nimh, and would much rather not buy another if i don't have to.

it doesn't seem to be readily available, and i'm still trying to learn about what i'd get exactly considering i am not sure on what lipo pack i'm getting, haha.

but if i can settle on the fact that i don't need another charger that helps from a $ perspective.

or should i just get this http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...rger-6S-6A-50W and forego getting a balancer to use with my 977 since the balancer would be over half of just getting the hyperion. and i could use the power supply from my superbrain.
