life battery question
 

I just got my first life battery. Was running lipo but got cold feet about them. I use a hyperion 606i charger. My battery is a 1700 2s. Question is the manual for the battery says charge at no more than 1c. Does 1c mean 1amp? My hyperion charger basically sets its self for charging once I set the charger up for my life battery and the mah it wants to charge it at 1.6amps. Is this correct?

1c for a 1700mah pack is 1.7 amps
