whats a good radio to start?

if you mean a 2.4 I like my Airtronics mx3 sport ($89), but it all depends on how much you want to spend/need etc...

Depends..Do you think you will be racing for a long time? I cheaped out on everything when I first started..After 6 or so months I had to re buy everything. You can pick up a used DX3R for fairly cheap now due to the Pro version being released. This would be a radio you would not have to upgrade for a long time. If you don't want to buy used then the Airtronics mx3-x is a good option or there new mt-4. BTW, I would highly recommend the mx3-x over the mx3 sport. It's well worth the extra money.

im just looking for a good setup looks like ill be racing when i get better but yet dont wanna practice with something i cant compete with
