Question on PC power supply conversions

I have just converted a PC Power supply like the directions i have seen. When i hook the volt meter to the banana jacks i am getting an output of 11.7 volts. Is this gonna be fine for running a charger or do i need 12 volts exact?

Mine puts out just under 12v like yours. I've been running it like that for 2 years now with no issues. I've charged as much as 2 4s packs at 5amps each with no issues.

Got any links to those directions? I wouldn't mind doing this myself, I've got a few power supply's lying around.

i did it with a old one i had.

Mine had 2 12v rails and i made sure that 1 rail powered on set of output plugs and the other rail another.

Mine read a little low with only one resistor applying a load, so i added another resistor and bumped it up, now I have 12.3v i think.
