You will need a 2S 7.4V Lipo pack to power the M11x, 6.6V from the Life pack is a bit too low...

M11x comes with a 6V battery and you have to change the setting just to use 6.6V LiFe battery... i will not run a LiPo in my radio... all i need to know is will it fit?

thanks though

Jonathan,

I am running a 2s lipo in my M11x, the size is 90mm x 50mm x 8mm, the dimensions of life pack you posted are: 83mm x 44mm x 14mm. Length and width wise is smaller than my lipo pack, it is slightly thicker but not an issue. Yes, it will fit.

My M11x comes with a 6 cells battery tray, 6 x 1.5v = 9v, if you use rechargeable battery 6 x 1.2v = 7.2v. That said, 2S 7.4V Lipo is perfectly fine in there.

M11x can only take upto 2S 7.4V lipo, anymore than that might kill it...

Anyone here tried a lipo in the MX-3X? They claim it is lipo ready, but the settings say for 4 cell alkaline or 6 cell nimh, I didnt see a lipo setting when scrolling through it?

I have a 2S that i used in a mini and fits in the tray, but i would have to wire a connector to the end instead of the deans plug, or vice versa, put a deans on the radio. (I really would rather mess up the battery than the radio )

Im kinda hung on the idea at the moment, I have four rechargeable 2100 mah AA's that im using now and it works fine.

i know when i had the MX3X you have to change the setting for the higher voltage for LiFe and LiPo or it wont turn on and come up with a error, had it happen to me, but i cannot tell you how to change it. that radio was a little confusing to use.

Thanks man, i guess this is all i was trying to figure out. I can navigate the menus pretty good, there just isnt a "lipo" setting, so im not sure it would kick a warning just in case you werent watching the voltage.

Putting it to 6 cell i guess kinda fools it, since overall voltages are pretty close. I guess i will have to watch it and see if it starts beeping at me somewhere in the 6.4v range.

If you can find someone that is actually still using FM (like me ) you can sell it to them. I love my FM M11 with 3s lipo.
