I have it stock for now but 12.3 rotor is waiting for testing! (Usgt class)

On our indoor carpet track I was at 4.3-4.4, it's a 50x90 track I believe.

Thanks for the info... We do follow the ROAR rules at our track so the 13.0mm is out however my Plutonium V1 came stock with the 12.5 rotor. I guess I'll stick with that and continue to search for the sweet spot.

From the dyno test results the V2 is much better than the V1. So whatever changes they have done to the V2 it has greatly improved it's performance.

Crank the timing and 4:1, have a fan on it just in case.

Wanted to say THANKS for the advice, I was running a Trackstar 21.5 with its timing onthe last mark, and a cheap Yeah fan. 140-150*F, 3.94 FDR Installed the Actinium 21.5, cranked timing to the last mark, added a R1 Wurks fan and it got up to 128*F measured on top of the motor, 155*F measured underneath. 4.14 FDR. Oh, and it hauled A$$, pulled so hard I it was spinning out exiting the corners. Overshot some braking zones because i'm not used to carrying so much speed into a turn. Had to re-learn driving with this much power. This is a great motor. I think I'll back the timing down one tick to cool it down and get some midrange.

In Slapmaster's post the attached set-up sheet has his gearing and timing for that motor.

At AA I run 17 4.1 all the way up to 4.5 with the R1/ Actinium fitted with upgraded timing board/extra timing plate ( 0 2 4 6 +). With my 13.5 I gear between 4.3-4.8 . Brilliant motors

12.5 roar rotor

There is also a 12.5 roar approved rotor that is 5mm longer.
Additional rotors are
12.3mm roar
12.4 mod
12.5 mod
12.7 and 13.0mm mod rotors

Awesome powerful motors

I have the Actinium 21.5 at max timing (4) and 4.0 FDR running in USGT on a large outdoor parking lot track. As always awesome but as the outside temperatures are starting to get warmer here in TX so is the motor (near 150F last race when it was ~90F outside). I'm trying not to use a fan as the car is already heavy because of the 1400 gram USGT weight limit here. Anybody have any luck with this motor using less timing and more gear or do I need to just bite the bullet and put the fan in the car?
