Questions?? Need new radio - been out a while!

Holy crap! I've been out of the racing scene for about 2 1/2 years now and have not kept up with all the new stuff. I have searched the threads for an overall comparison, but it seems as though people already have things narrowed down. Well, I still have no clue what to get. I used to run a JR Z-1 Pro with spektrum system, so having 2.4 is imperative. I ran 1/10 nitro sedan and now will probably be running 1/8 scale.

Definitely need to be budget friendly, but want to get something good. Please make your suggestions as to what radio system is in the 'better/best' category.

Thanks all!

Without knowing what your budget is, I would suggest finding a used Spektrum DX3R.

Good call Scott, sorry, should have mentioned that. Budget pricing around $150 or so. Obviously, used is completely acceptable. I don't think I've owned anything brand new for r/c anyway, so it's no big deal.

Why not spend even less and get the Hobbyking HK-310 or the FlySky FS-GT3B. The radios at that price point won't be much better than these. Plus the receivers are cheap too.

+1 on the FlySky very nice radio for the price plus one extra (or 10 extra) receivers wont break the bank.
