Ya, I got some pm's about the Xerun, but just can't find anyone in USA who stocks it. Retail its at $114 plus shipping from RC Mushroom. I am thinking shipping is gonna be around $15 from them. Or pickup a used R1/LRP for less money here in states...

I heard the new Team Orion is actually made by Xerun.?.?.?

Get the Xerun 120a 1S, combined with an LRP X12, and the V3.0_101224STOCK Firmware, it's a killer!

If used with motors with a less strong rotor magnet, use the V3.0_110119STOCK.

Oh, did I mention it's half the price of a Tekin?
1st time hobbywing user, then you also need to get the 2 in 1 programming box.
Check RC-Mushroom, they have stuff in stock.

A manufacturer's after-sale support can be an important consideration when making a purchasing decision. We maintain comprehensive Trade/Exchange/Upgrade programs for our customers---unmatched in the R/C industry.

We don't forget about you after we make a sale....

Because Castle Creations is trying as hard as they can to not let Hobbywing get into the USA market.
Something with patents.....

I wouldn't go for LRP, unless you want a cogging motor.... :sneaky:

We have a few guys at the track running this combo and in 10.5 it is a killer speedy, well worth the money.

For a low budget / competitive speedy this is easily your best bet.

If I had of purchased this in the first place I don't think I would have been searching for an up-grade for a very long time.

I got the same set up, Xerun 120A 1S with 13.5T Team Powers motor in a CRC GenX12.
Xerun cost me 118 USD incl shipping and motor cost me 45 USD incl shipping.

Very happy with it, for me there where no alternative as i run their Xerun 60A with 13.5T in my Tamiya FF03 and Ezrun 35A with 13T in mini's. Not a single esc or motor has been broken in 2+ years, best bang for the buck!

Search for 'xerun 120a 1s' on ebay, you will find one there for 117.90 USD incl shipping.

SHOCKED 03-01-2011 04:18 PM

does the EZ run come with a fan?

SNIPR 03-01-2011 05:06 PM

The Xerun 120a 1s comes with heatsink and fan if needed...

What an old topic :)
but question is still active,
looking reliable and cheap sensored brushless ESC (1S only) for 13.5T motor, no timing allowed, plain blinky stock program only.
Have to replace Core RC Pace45R, they simply do not last when limited to internally 30% for unexperienced drivers. 5 of 10 is already dead and I'm afraid that rest 5 are going in same way.
Any suggestions ??

I've been really happy with my Hobbywing 1s esc. Built in booster and BEC so you don't need anything extra. It's $180 though, doubt you would consider that cheap.

Run a slower motor instead of limiting power through the ESC. You could look at the TrackStar ESC, not sure if it is any better than the Core, may even be the same just rebranded. I think limiting power is what is hard on them though, so try a 21.5 for new drivers.

This

And this

Many racers are leaving out the booster, & turning off the low voltage cut off. I like the booster.

These are also very good

And you will need this.

The esc is sold out in the china warehouse, check your closest. The program box is sold in a couple warehouses also so you need to check your closest one.
