LIPO Questions.

Im sure this has been asked many times. But :)

Correct me if im wrong.

1C charge = 1x the batterys capacity eg a 5400 can be charged at 5.4 amps max ?

Dont discharge a lipo past 3.5 Volts per cell.

Store at 3.8 Volts per cell

Dont leave a Lipo fully charged for 24 hours

Charge em in a sack

If i have left anythink out plz let me know. Cheers

Most places seem to recommend to discharging to not more than 3.2v per cell.

Also, store in a lipo sack or other fire proof container.

Store

Maybe a little higher on the storage volts. I store my 2 cells at 7.7 to 7.8.

I wouldn't call this a rule -more of a recommendation.

Its not recommended to leave lipo sitting at full charge - this makes internal resistance go up and lipos treated this way have been known to puff without apparent reason. I used to do it that way, but not anymore. I measure the voltage after running and if its not around 3.7v/cell, I put the lipo on my charger and charge them to storage mode at 3.8 - 3.85v/cell.

Then when I get ready to go run and need on, it is fully charged right before using. If you plan on running, chage one up and then don't go, its best for longevity to discharge them tp storage rather than leave the lipo sit for days or weeks at full charge.
