Servo makes noise

I got a Hitec HS-7955TG Ultra Torque Titanium Gear Digital Servo for my revo and it makes clicking noises when i turn the car on. It doesn't move or anything it just clicks. any idea how i can stop this or is this normal for this kind of servo?

Im guessing that the servo all the way left or right?
This has happened to me and my local hoby store, which i bouht mine from, replaced it for free.

Servo often make noise if they are trying to make small position adjustments. If you lift up the front wheels does the noise go away? If you wiggle the wheels a little can you get the noise to go away? If so then that's normal. If the noise is constant then I would start seeing if there is an issue with the steering being bound up or if the servo makes noise even when not installed.

It could be a stripped gear in there. Open it up and check it out.

The servo functions just fine. it has full movement from left to right. and it does go away when i lift the front end off the ground. so i am hoping that its just the servo making small adjustments. I have never used digital servos before so its a bit new to me. thanks for the replies :)

mine do the same. just a small noise then one the car is lifted it stops. No harm they have done this for a year now and still top performance with them. ;)

thanks for all the help I am glad my servo isn't toast:smile:. I would have been really bummed if this servo was bad. :)

Thats a digital servo for you. Constantly trying to center itself.... totally normal.
